March 5th: AMP Volunteer Celebration and Movement Meet and Greet

This past fall we moved out to defend our communities with our movement family. Through both issue based canvassing and direct efforts to mobilize voters to defeat the right we got thousands of people out to the polls along with Straight Ahead and Free The Ballot. However, none of that would have been possible if it wasn’t for community members like yourself who stepped up to take responsibility for our future. Many people volunteered their time and came out on weekends to knock on doors and speak with our neighbors about what was at stake in the election.

In the end we were victorious in holding the line against an increasingly extreme right wing. But no victory would have been possible if it wasn’t for people like you who donated money, knocked doors and helped get everyday people organized to win.

On Sunday, March 5th we will take a moment to celebrate people who volunteered this past fall. We’ll have tasty food, awards for people who contributed and plenty of time to mingle and build community with each other. Importantly, we’ll have some great updates on our efforts to elect a progressive mayor and progressive city council people this Spring and how you can get involved.

Join us on Sunday, March 5th from 1-4 PM at 924 Cherry St. 4th Floor. And sign up below to get added to our email list so you can stay up to date on ways you can get involved!
